Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series is sanctioned with USA Cycling and designated as the Official US National Downhill Series.
ALL rounds of the 2026 Series are open to US and International Athletes.
ALL international licenses are accepted.
Individual events carry the following sanctioning details:

Round 1 - USA Cycling, UCI (Continental Series Designation)

Round 4 - USA Cycling, UCI (US National Championship Designation)

Round 5 - USA Cycling (Fox US Open)
+ Pro/Elite and 17/18 Cat 1 categories will follow UCI or USA Cycling downhill regulations and Pro Downhill Series regulations
+ Amateur categories will follow USA Cycling and Pro Downhill Series regulations
+ All racer license upgrades or issues must be directed to USA Cycling or UCI
+ ALL ATHLETES are welcome to race Round 4 (Pro Downhill Series/National Championships at Big Bear). This event will be a normal Pro Downhill Series race AND will also crown the US National Champion. USA Cycling will release updated 2026 Eligibility Guidelines specifically pertaining to the US National Championship competition and who is eligible to win the "National Sleeve".

IMPORTANT - ALL CATEGORIES WILL RACE THE SAME TRACK
The race track will be an advanced track, HOWEVER there will be alternative lines and "go-arounds" for various sections of the track.
Some features may not be mandatory for Cat 2/3 racers.
Race organizers may close certain features to specific classes.
PLEASE RIDE WITHIN YOUR LIMITS.

Entry fee includes lift access for track walk (no bike), practice & competition days

Racing Age is your age as of 12/31/2026

IMPORTANT - Athletes under 18 years old will need parental signature on all waivers.

Full-Face helmets ARE REQUIRED. Knee/elbow pads, gloves, back pads, etc. are strongly encouraged and may become mandatory at Pro Downhill Series' discretion.

Valid lift ticket and number plate required to gain access to the race course.
-
Competitors may only practice during class-specific practice sessions.
-
Athletes missing their posted start time will be disqualified.
-
Timing services provided by ARTiming.
Downhill seeding/qualifying will run as follows:
-
PRO CLASS racers will take seeding runs OR must qualify if there are more than 80 entrants in the class. *TOP 60 IN QUALIFYING WILL MAKE THE CUT FOR FINALS.

*Note - exceptions may apply for certain ranked athletes and series leaders. Race Organizers reserve the right to adjust or remove qualifying requirements for the entire field.

All CAT 1 and Pro Categories will take seeding runs. If an athlete is not present, they will be seeded at the back of the category.

*Note - If the event is also UCI sanctioned, all UCI sanctioned categories will follow the "must break the beam" rule for seeding/qualifying.

Start Order:

Saturday start order will run as follows: All Cat 1 classes, Cat 1 17/18, Pro last

Sunday start order will run as follows: All Cat 2/3 classes, All Cat 1 classes

Fields may be combined if there are not enough racers entered in a specific class. Additionally, large fields may be broken into smaller categories if deemed necessary by race organizers.

Inspired from the world of motocross, the SR Suntour Holeshot Award is a unique opportunity for one male and one female racer to pocket $500 cash at each round of the Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series.
The fastest time at Split #1, from final runs only, will win the award. All race categories are eligible and the winners must have a complete race run during finals.
In the event of a tie, the prize will be split. During Amateur finals, the time will have been set by the Elite Pro class, and the race will be on to see how riders can stack up against the pros! See you in the start gate.
